Apart from launching three series of LED TVs in the Indian market, Samsung India also introduced five series of LCD TVs and two series of plasma TVs here. Samsung has always been at the forefront of TV technology and is known for its award winning innovations.

Samsung is indeed king of the LED’s. Whenever you head to any store Samsung is always front and center. I picked up the UN55C6500 and the picture quality is shockingly real. I have had to turn off the 120hz when watching movies because it makes them look weird, but besides that my LED is my new best friend! Oh, and the Samsung apps are what really make this TV awesome…netflix and pandora rule!!!
I”ve done the research and all i can say is that Samsung does rule!! 1st its super thin not too sure how many mm, 2nd the picture quality is amazing beyond words, even when i saw them at best buy they looked great but once i plugged in the blue ray OMG!! All im saying is do your research and you’ll see why Samsung is the leader in this technology!

The B series LED TVs from Samsung may of been over-hyped, but with valid reason, they sold in incredible numbers and lots more manufacturers have followed suit with using LED backlights.
It will be interesting to see how Samsungs 2010 C range models compare, with an even bigger range encompassing 5 different series, it surely wont be that long until all LCD TVs are LED backlit?
Wow !It was interesting that at a recent conference and blind test in New York, the attendees actually rated the new Toshiba LCD TVs over the latest range of Samsung and Sharp LED TVs – so I’m guessing the A950 will be of a similar standard.
Probably time to wait a little for the LED technology to develop and improve before investing in a new TV?
Any news about when the Samsung 8 Series LED TVs will be available in India?
These TVs do look spectacular though, having had chance to see one in my local store. While the above “durable lies” are in most cases true, there’s no denying the new range offers a far superior picture quality.
“Full” LED technology is now being offered by Sharp, with LED lights stretching from corner to corner of the screen – not just aronund the edge.
Three ‘Durable’ Lies – Manufactured by Samsung
1st lie: LED TV technology is a wholly new technology (it is at least 5yr old television technology)
2nd lie: Samsung screen is LED (without stating that the panel/screen technology is actually LCD; also they are using only ‘edge LED backlighting’ as opposed to ‘direct LED backlighting’)
3rd lie: On their website they have separated LED TV from LCD TV, giving an impression that LCD & LED are completely different
I’d love a Samsung LED TV. But yes they are using a massive hype-machine to stretch the truth a little
